Antv was launched on 1 January 1993 as a local television station in the Lampung province. In the same month the government licensed antv for nationwide broadcasting and the firm moved its headquarters to South Jakarta. It owns 21 relay stations and is capable of reaching 154 cities.

Global TV is an Indonesian private television station based in West Jakarta. It is established in early 1999 and first went on air in October 2001 with MTV programming.

The station airs news and sports such as F1, A1 and it also broadcasts MTV programs and Nickelodeon cartoons regularly.

Global TV has 30 transmission sites covering some 200 cities and towns across the country. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Media Nusantara Citra (MNC) which also owns RCTI and TPI.

Surya Citra Televisi (SCTV) is an Indonesian television station. Its headquarters are in South Jakarta. It began broadcasting on August 24, 1990, in Surabaya, East Java, broadcasting only to the city and surrounding area. In 1991 SCTV Bali was established in Denpasar. At this point the programming was similar to that of RCTI and used some of their news programs until they could produce their own. In 1993 it was given a national license, and eventually moved its operations to Jakarta, the main office in South Jakarta and studios in West Jakarta. It is owned by the Sariaatmadja group. Its motto is "Satu Untuk Semua" ("One for All") and "Berbagi Sensasi" ("Give Sensation"). During the 2006 World Cup, it holds the monopoly as the only broadcaster to broadcast the event. It famous for its soap operas, such as Suci, Chelsea and Zahra.

Metro TV is Indonesia's first 24-hour news channel based in West Jakarta. The station was established on November 25, 2000 and now has over 53 transmission sites all over the country. It is owned by Surya Paloh who also owns the Media Indonesia daily. TV-ONE Online Streaming

TV One is an Indonesian privately owned national television station based in East Jakarta. It is used to be known as Lativi which ends with name changed due to changes of ownership in the middle of February 2008.

It's initially owned by previously Minister of labor and also famous entrepreneur, Abdul Latief. By the year 2007, the ownership of the network was changed to Aburizal Bakrie and Erick Tohir due to debt and poor network management.

The launching of TVOne was on the 14th February 2008 at 7.20 PM by the President of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. It named Anindya Bakrie (the son of Aburizal Bakrie ) as the Chief Commissioner and Erick Tohir as the President Director.

TV One is an abbreviation from Olahraga, News, and Entertainment. Olahraga in English means Sport. The network is now more segmented to A and B class with a good combination of sport, news and entertainment.
